News Flash

Yesterday marked the end of our crazy WAJ 3112 Olahraga (Athletics) coursework (s).

Between the 1 Malaysia Fun Run held on 23 February and the Annual Track and Field Championships (translated directly from Kejohanan Olahraga Tahunan) held on the 6, 8 and 9th March, zombiefied Sem 5 students were witnessed all around the campus. With simulations, meetings, and the almost daily kick-boxing practice for our special performance, we were stretched in all directions and every lecturer wanted to call dibs on our priorities.

The good news is I've slimmed down.

The work is not boring, but it's tedious - time and energy-consuming. Fatigue is what we feel most of the time, and that's without starting on our assignments. Thinking about our assignments adds stress to the equation. WHY is this semester the semester with two (2)  100% coursework assignments? And WHY must they be assessed immediately after our zombiefying Kejohanan?

Whai.

Okay positive interval here : The Kejohanan (KOT) did have its benefits. I learnt how to manage the athletes registration because I was in the registration bureau under Amalina, and I managed to match some faces to familiar names. Yay for an improvement in my offline social network. Not to mention mingling with hot athletes (the call room is the most happening place, seriously, with athletes gathering there and warming up). And I did enjoy the kickboxing practice because I just like dancing. According to many lecturers and even the VIP, we pulled off an amazing performance.

Fortunately, else the countless hours of practice would have been all for naught.

I'm glad it's over, though. Within the next two weeks I'll have to settle many assignments and deadlines before the March break *phew* and when I come back, it's immediately off to school for practicum.

All I'm asking for is to stay alive.

On a related note, Amal dropped by Giant after the 2nd day of the KOT, and I had this 'civilization at last!' feeling. I felt like buying the whole store as a reward for all the stress and sleep deprivation and whatnot.

In the end I only wound up buying an RM 5 matte screen protector for my phone. Yay no more oily fingerprint marks.
