Weekend memories.

I had an amazing weekend with Jia Wern.

Technically speaking, all my weekends are amazing because I get to spend a lot of time with him. But last weekend felt magical. I know it sounds corny, but you know how it feels like when you just have a lot of fun spending quality time together? The beautiful surroundings helped, too. ;) This post will be about our weekend because it was sooo awesome. =D

On Saturday, we went to Northgate Mall and had a lot of fun shopping/window shopping. It's always fun to find pretty things at great bargains, so much so that we spent a good two hours there mostly in the same shop. Jia Wern claims that he had fun, too, but I bet I had more fun than he did since I'm...a girl. We're talking costume jewelry so yeah. =P

This whole thing for only 5 dollars! Even after conversion, it's cheaper than  Malaysian prices. =P

After that, we went to explore a grocery shop, which happened to be on Ninth Street. The grocery shop wasn't THAT exciting, but I was blown away by how pretty Ninth Street was. I'm not an avid photographer and neither of us like taking pictures all that much, so I don't have any photos of Ninth Street. BUT! I figured there were probably some really pretty pictures online taken by OTHER PEOPLE, and so here they are for your viewing pleasure :

None of these pictures belong to me, so yeah.

Don't these pictures just put you in a romantic mood? (Assuming you're a girl, and you like places like Paris and Greece). I saw the street at night, and the night lights just enchanted me. But we all know how bad lighting affects photo-taking, so I didn't bother to with my 8MP phone camera. Let the pros with the DSLRs do it. =P

If only it wasn't so cold, I would've explored the streets on foot. Jia Wern said it could be a summer day date, so I'm holding him to that. =P

Next, we had a posh dinner at Dale's Indian Food, and by "posh" I mean classy interior decor, wine options (of course I picked mango lassi over wine, because I don't like wine =P), a quiet and romantic atmosphere, not to mention delicious lamb and chicken briyani with yogurt to satisfy our hungry tummies.

We ended the night with grocery shopping at Krogers, which is one of my favourite things to do. Shopping is fun no matter what kind, ok? =P

That was just Saturday.

On Sunday, we went to church, baked a successful shepherd's pie thanks to a recipe Amy shared, ate it for lunch AND dinner, attempted to bake cookies (which sadly, fell short of my expectations), and watched Interstellar together.

Such a wonderful weekend. <3
