Back and jet-lagged.
First off, let me say I'm glad to be back with the hubs and doggy. Being away from them for a month has made me appreciate them all the more, and I am thankful to be reunited with them.
My trip back to Malaysia was a productive, albeit tiring one. It just so happened that I had chunks of chill time alternating with chunks of hectic time, which meant that I was bored, then crazy busy, then bored, then crazy busy again. =P The first week I was back, my parents were still not out of school yet so I was pretty much left to my own devices. The second week, Ray, his girlfriend Chinnoi and Rene descended upon the house and the next 10 days went by like a whirlwind. Once they left, I had my wisdom teeth removed, so that was one week of lazing around trying not to exert myself. The final week of my stay in Kuching, Amy and Josephine and some other friends came back so I was busy meeting up with friends again once more. Then came the KL trip, where I was out practically every day trying to meet up with friends. It was definitely a good time of reunions and all, but I can't deny that I felt absolutely drained by the end of it. It was a blessing in disguise, though, seeing as I was so pooped that I slept through most of the journey back to the States.
Regardless, I don't think I'll try to pull that off again any time soon. It's great to see familiar faces and all, but doing so on such a tight schedule means sacrificing naps...and you know how I feel about that. It's all fun and games with you're young, but when you're old like me, it gets decidedly more taxing and exhausting. =P
All in all, it was a good trip back. I got to fellowship with so many people, reunite with my siblings, catch up with old friends, and spend precious time with my parents. I am also in awe of how things just fell into place, given how tight my schedule was. Even unexpected occurrences turned out to be blessings in disguise, and ended up becoming a better plan. Thank you God! Also, it's always wonderful to have parents around after a wisdom teeth extraction. Mum waited on me hand and foot just to make it more bearable, and they even had porridge 3 times in a row for my benefit. Parents definitely make the best caretakers. =D
I don't think I could've hoped for this trip to be any better. =)
